Every Monday

Otaki Dance Group

​

Meet at the RSA every Monday evening for Beginners and Intermediate dancers.  

​

Beginners 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Intermediate 7:30pm - 8:15pm

​

They learn ballroom sequences which is a repeat of the same steps every 16 bars.  They dance Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Tango etc.

​

Koha to join in.

​

This group also meets at the Otaki Memorial Hall on a Tuesday evening which costs $3 and includes a light supper.

Friday 15th September

Pip Payne is playing from 6pm - 9pm

​

Pip Payne is a pom playing slide blues on a resonator guitar.  But he also plays dancy tunes, rock n roll, boogie woogie and ballards.  Pip is a well known Wellington musician, where he helped define the capital blues scene, forming what is now one of the longest running Blues Clubs in Australasia.  

​

Now an Otaki Beach local - he is a regular a live music spots on the Coast

Knitters and Natters

Meet at 2pm in the club to chat and knit baby wear and blankets for donation.  They also knit Twiddle Muffs for dementia patients
