RSA Commemorations

The Otaki and Districts Memorial RSA covers the area from the Waikanae River in the South to the Manakau Stream to the North of Otaki. The Otaki RSA includes the Waikanae RSA which closed a few years ago.

We support veterans and their families throughout this area.

The Otaki RSA provides Anzac Day commemorative events at the

Otaki Cenotaph for a Dawn Service, a Community Service at Waikanae, and

the Retreat at the Otaki Services Cemetery at sunset.

Armistice Day is remembered each year with a service at the Otaki Cenotaph.

The Ode of Remembrance is recited each Friday at 6 pm.

ANZAC Day Services.

A Dawn Service and an Evening Retreat are held in Otaki each ANZAC Day.

The club also supports a community service at Waikanae.

Members join the Manakau Community for their service.

Armistice Day

A service is held at 11am on the 11th day of November each year at the Otaki Cenotaph.

Otaki College and primary schools from the area particpate.

SS Otaki Memorial and Korean War Service

The RSA supports a service to commemorate the loss of the SS Otaki, held at the Otaki College, and a Korean War Memorial at the Otaki Primary School.
